About
From Ontario, Canada.
Hello!
I am Emmalyn Rynard
A 3D Generalist currently located in Kingston, Ontario. I have a passion for art and design, and in particular the world of 3D. I love to travel, and my experiences in New Zealand and Singapore are what originally started me on my journey to become a 3D artist.
I have a fascination for the combination art and tech and have always been keen and quick to learn new programs and techniques. Throughout my studies and career, I have worked hard to refine my abilities in modeling, texturing, and lighting while working with a range of software including Maya, Unreal Engine, ZBrush, Substance Painter/Designer, and Photoshop.
I found through my experience working in the industry an enthusiasm for creating immersive worlds and captivating assets, which drew me to the more technical side of art in games. I am constantly seeking to expand my knowledge and stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and techniques to help me become the best I can be. I truly enjoy the process of learning!
I have small dog who’s name is Pippin, named after Peregrin Took from the Lord of the Rings series. I love all things fantasy, sci fi, and horror and spend my free time either walking my dog, working on a personal project, or curled up in front of my computer playing whatever new video game has my interest.
I love to read and will often be immersed in some long series, and my favourite video game is Dragon Age Inquisition. I have also always had a deep love for farming/cozy simulation games, since a very young age. Because of my interests in fantasy I have found a particular fascination in these types of games, my interest is always peaked with a good story. I have done my own pitches on game design ideas in the past and thrive on a team environment that allows for openness and collaboration of ideas.
